Lower Body Lift

Patients who have undergone massive weight loss, typically following bariatric surgery - are frequently left with large folds of draping skin that has lost its elasticity. Unfortunately, neither diet nor exercise is effective in shrinking this skin. Surgery is the only way to tighten excess skin.

A lower body lift often combines abdominoplasty and a thigh lift to give patients a more contoured lower body shape. This procedure is performed under general anesthesia and can sometimes, depending on how extensive, require an overnight stay in the hospital. You will be required to wear a compression garment for six weeks following the procedure to minimize swelling and help with healing.
